THE MECHANIC YOU CAN TRUST

My name is Daniel and I am the Mobile Marine Mechanic in Whakatane. I am mobile, so you don't have to worry about bringing the boat to the shop to be fixed or serviced.
I am happy to come to your property, diagnose the failure and come another day with parts and finish the job.

Offshore powerboat racing team mechanic

I was a racing powerboat mechanic. I travelled around New Zealand for two seasons with the team to supervise and fix failures on the spot. There was a couple of situations, where the whole engine had to be rebuilt in two weeks time in between races.

Renovation
Bayliner Trophy

The boat was not used for a long time before I started working on it.  Things that had to be done:
Service of the engine, gear box electronics and whole whirring looms replaced,, autopilot fit, 1 KV transducer installed, anchor winch fit, remote control replaced,
cut and polish gelcoat, dash board designed and fitted.

Swamp boat with electric motor from Nissan Leaf

One of the customers decided to have a swamp boat powered electric motor, solar panels and using the battery from the car. Everything is possible, so Daniel took the challenge. The project is still in progress and we will post some more photos when it starts to work on the water.

LED installation and other lights

Working with lights is very satisfying and I love it. I have lots of experience with LED lights, in cabins or outboard lights, panel lights and navigation lights. I am happy to  also do trailer lights.

Whatever you need I will make it work.

Expertise letters for insurance companies  (Poland)

I was well known in Poland for my excellent reputation and superb work. I worked in the marine environment for a long time.  Insurance companies asked me to attend accident scenes and write expertise letters, explaining how the boat /engine damage occurred.

Boat services for the Polish Government

The most common boat used by police and army is R.I.B Baltic 900. It has very good nautical features.

Fridge instalation

Fleet line was one of my first project boats in New Zealand.

It was a family leisure boat. We used it on lake Taupo most times, and spent time on it often. We took enough food and beer to last for the whole day. That is why I decided to install a fridge in the floor of the boat :-)

When we took the boat with us for holidays at the Bay of Islands, we spent lots of time on the Ocean fishing. To keep the fish alive and fresh, we filled up the fridge with salt water to keep them cool. When we got back a few hours later, they were all still alive.

Dirt bikes

I have to admit, that dirt bikes was my son's idea.

He got his first project bike a mudbug for 500NZD from his pocket money. He decided to renovate it, sell it and earn more money for a better bike.

Second one was only two months later. It was a Yamaha YZ250F.

At this stage we have 4 dirt bikes. Some of them are ready for sale.
